Ethan Ferguson, a Chicago native and graduate of both the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and the University of Texas at Austin, is a passionate and dynamic sports journalist.

 

With a deep-rooted love for sports and storytelling, Ethan has honed a versatile skill set that spans communications, broadcasting, print journalism, and public relations.

Drawing on years of experience in the industry, Ethan is able to offer insightful analysis, compelling writing, and the ability to connect with audiences across platforms.

 

Whether covering the latest sports stories, working behind the scenes in media relations, or delivering on-air commentary, Ethan brings enthusiasm and professionalism to every project.

 

With a unique blend of academic rigor and real-world expertise, Ethan continues to be a trusted voice in the world of sports journalism.

Published Articles

Ethan Ferguson has been published numerous times in publications such as the Chicago Tribune, the Arizona Republic and the Cedar Rapids Gazette. He's covered a variety of sports including men's and women's college basketball, the PGA Tour and the Olympics. He got his start at The Daily Texan where he served as a senior sports reporter.

Documentary Filmmaking

Ethan has produced a variety of short-film documentaries that range in topics such as sports, culture and health. He has travelled across the United States and abroad to pursue stories that deserve to be told. He learned the process of pre- to post-production while interning at Insignia Films in New York City.

Sports Media

Ethan, while getting his masters in sports media, spent a season working for the Chicago Bulls as a Communications Associate where he assisted with pre- and postgame interviews of players and coaches. Additionally, he travelled to Arizona to work alongside the media at the WM Phoenix Open, Cubs Spring Training, Phoenix Suns and Arizona State Athletics. His passion for sports media started at the University of Texas where he covered sports from Texas Student Television and Reporting Texas TV.
